Just in time for summer workouts.
For the Texas Longhorns, part of the Athletics Master Plan released in late May includes renovations to the weight rooms for the football teams. And while it’s not clear whether that means full-scale renovations or just minor improvements, the ‘Horns already have a new flooring in the weight room:

While the flooring in the weight room isn’t the sexiest development that will happen over the next few years around campus, it is something that will make a difference for the football players.
The previous weight room floor had been in place since the 1990s and was a 1/4-inch rubber surface laid on top of concrete. #HookEm

Along with the new flooring, the new lifting platforms will be inlaid within the flooring system providing a safer, flush layout in the room
