The former Sooner visited Columbia a couple of weeks ago and appears ready to play once again for his former offensive coordinator, Josh Heupel.

We wrote about Alex Ross’ potential transfer when he visited a while back. While there’s nothing binding about signing financial aid papers, it does appear highly likely that Ross will be wearing a Missouri jersey next fall.

Over three years with Oklahoma, Ross, the former four-star recruit from Jenks (Okla.), rushed 123 times for 786 yards and five touchdowns, caught 11 passes for 66 yards, and averaged 25.7 yards per kick return with two scores in 2014. He would fill two voids at once for Mizzou — he would give the Tigers a desperately-needed return presence and he would help to provide both depth and explosiveness at the running back position.

A tentative welcome to Columbia, Alex!
