The Missouri wide receiver commit impressed during his camp performance, winning receiver MVP honors

DaRon Davis committed to Missouri back in November of last year and remains a solid lock to the Tigers. He’s also expressed interest in training with Jeremy Maclin of the Chiefs.

three star wide receiver according to Rivals, Davis can probably expect to see his ranking bumped up with this kind of performance at Rivals’ 5 Star Challenge. The Hogan Prep standout was also nominated for the US All-American Bowl, along with Missouri targets, Larry Boyd, Chester Graves and Jaevon McQuitty:

Rivals ⭐️⭐️⭐️

DaRon Davis was just one of several local recruits who took part in Rivals’ Camp Series in Kansas City, Missouri.

2017 OL Marquis Hayes, a three star per Rivals, was highly praised and earned himself an invitation to Rivals’ 5-Star Challenge. Mike Farrell, national recruiting director mentioned that if Hayes lived in Georgia he’d have “thirty to forty offers by now.” and that his recruitment could really “blow up” following this weekend. Hayes was one of several recruits at Missouri’s spring game and has offers from Missouri, Illinois, Iowa State and Minnesota. His list will really improve in the coming months.

2018 DT Trevor Trout was also impressive, earning his own 5-Star Challenge invite. Trout has visited Columbia several times, including being one of the top recruits in attendance at Missouri’s Junior Day. You can hear the four star prospect discuss his relationship with Missouri below.

He mentions he doesn’t know where he’s going yet but that “Missouri is one of the top schools in the Power 5.” The Chaminade Prep stud praises Ohio State after a recent visit, saying he really wants an offer. The Buckeyes will definitely be in pursuit of numerous St. Louis talents over the summer and he’ll probably attend an OSU camp. Trout touched on the Iowa Hawkeyes pointing out that their coaching staff doesn’t change a lot, something that impressed him. He mentions that he wants to visit Nebraska and that some of his friends (McQuitty) are pushing him toward the Cornhuskers.

2018 WR Kamryn Babb, a four star prospect in his own right, discussed his Missouri connection saying he has a real strong relationship with the coaching staff and his familiarity with Mizzou due to having been born in Columbia and growing up a fan.

Babb mentions he wants to try and visit some ACC schools, Clemson, Florida State and will probably head up to Ohio State with Trevor Trout, in an effort to earn offers from those schools. Asked about keeping track of how previous Missouri kids have faired going in and out of state (*cough* the interviewer specifically mentions Dorial Green-Beckham and Ezekie Elliot *cough*)

On a sidenote, we bid farewell to PowerMizzou’s recruiting editor Brian Austin.

I only got to know Brian briefly this past year but he was also friendly, helpful and professional. Missouri is losing another great reporter and I wish him the best for the future.
